Welcome to Honedogs.com

The unofficially official website of the Hone Dogs Bocce team

Hone: -v. honed, hon·ing.

1. to make more acute or effective; improve; perfect: to hone one's skills.
2. to move or advance toward a target or goal: The missle honed in on its target.

Dog: -n. dogged, dogging.
1. a domesticated canid, Canis familiaris, bred in many varieties.

2. an unruly man or youth.

Put this verb and this noun together and you get the Hone Dogs, a team of young men dedicated to the honing of their bocce skills in the quest to be St. Helena's perennial Bocce ball champions.

Led by Team Capo, Cante Swearingen, the Hone Dogs have 3 rules:

1) Leave in front
2) Follow that line
3) Love your balls
4) You don't talk about fight club*

Coupled with La Prima pizza, the Hone Dogs are a true force to be reckoned with.
