Welcome to .com

The unofficially official website of the Hone Dogs' Bocce team

Hone: -v. hone in, honed.

1. to make more acute or effective; improve; perfect: to hone one's Bocce skills
2. to move toward or focus attention on an objective: Capo honed in on the pallino

Dog: -n.
1. a domesticated canid, Canis familiaris, bred in many varieties: See Spot run

2. an unruly man or youth: Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah

Put this verb and this noun together and you get the Hone Dogs, a team of young men dedicated to the honing of their Bocce skills in the quest to be St. Helena's perennial Bocce Ball champions.

This site is filled with a veritable cornucopia of useful and useless information about the Hone Dogs and Bocce in general so don't be shy and take a gander at one of the many topics from the page listings, including Team Pics, Our Fans, Press clippings, Statistics, Accolades and our dryly humored 2010 mingame blog, plus other blogs from past seasons.

And don't forget our MTV video music award nominated Hone Dog music video:

The Hone Dogs have been known to battle the forces of good AND evil and led by their beloved Team Capo, Cante Swearingen, they have 3 rules:

                                                     1) Leave in front
                                                     2) Follow that line
                                                     3) Love your balls
                                                     4) You don't talk about fight club*
